Titans Agree To Terms With Ben Jones

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

It is being reported that the Titans have agreed to a 4 year deal with former Texans center/guard Ben Jones. The deal will become official tomorrow at 3 pm central time.

Jones started in all 16 games for the Texans last year. He moved from guard to center after starting all 16 games in 2014.

It would appear Jon Robinson is doing everything to set Mariota and DeMarco Murray up for success. The offensive line was absolutely atrocious last year and something had to be done about it. It is good to see Jon Robinson being proactive in free agency. Details on the contract will be updated when they are released.

Jones was a 4th round pick in the 2012 draft by the Texans. He played his college ball at the University of Georgia. He is an odd dude, but I like that in an offensive lineman. They need to be a little bit off their rocker to get the job done in the trenches.
