Jason Cole of Bleacher Report is "reporting" that the Titans are the leader for former New York Jets defensive tackle Damon "Snacks" Harrison. I put reporting in quotes because Cole has historically been very bad at predicting things when it comes to the Titans, but hey, even a blind squirrel finds an acorn every now and then (no offense intended to blind squirrels).
Harrison is a very large man at 6'4", 350. He is what you would call a "space-eater" in the middle of a 3-4 defense. The Titans haven't had a really good nose tackle since they switched to the 3-4. Sammie Lee Hill and Al (Woodz) Woods have held down the position. They have been OK but nothing close to what Harrison would bring to the table.
There will be a lot of teams vying for Harrison's services. The Titans have the resources to get it done. It will be interesting to see what value Jon Robinson/Dick LeBeau put on having a dominant player in the middle of the 3-4.
