The Tennessee Titans have re-signed Antonio Andrews to a one-year deal. He was set to become a free agent. Andrews rushed for 520 yards on 143 carries last season with the Titans.
Here is what Andrews had to say to Jim Wyatt after signing his new deal:
This was my first real season, being able to play and not just watch,’’ Andrews said at the end of last season. "I did everything I wanted to – I probably didn’t put up the numbers I intended, but at the end of the day I took advantage of every opportunity I had to set myself up for the upcoming season.
Andrews is a fine running back but the Titans are going to have to upgrade at the position. I would love to see the Titans get in on Doug Martin or Lamar Miller. Give one of them a short-term deal and draft one of the stud running backs next year.
