2016 NFL Free Agency: Browns C Alex Mack voids his contract

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Adam Schefter is reporting that Cleveland Browns center Alex Mack has opted out of his contract. That means he will be a free agent. Mack was drafted by the Browns in the first round in 2009. He has been with the Browns his entire career and has been in the Pro Bowl 3 times- including in 2016.

Jon Robinson should be on a plane to wherever Alex Mack is right now. He would be a HUGE upgrade over Brian Schwenke and would give the Titans some veteran leadership that they desperately need on the offensive line. Mack could then help Robinson recruit RT Mitchell Schwartz, and the Titans' offensive line problems would be solved. That would free them up to use the first pick in the draft on Jalen Ramsey. That, my friends, is what you call a win, win, win solution.

Mack is going to get a lot of money on the open market. The good news is the Titans have a lot of money to spend.

Make it happen, Jon!
