Per Ian Rapoport, the Titans will be hosting veteran Offensive Guard Louis Vasquez for a visit tomorrow. Vasquez was cut by the Broncos on Tuesday as they scrambled to free up cap space. After thriving in power-blocking schemes in San Diego and with John Fox in Denver, the 6' 5" 338 lbs. Vasquez was never a natural fit for Kubiack's zone blocking scheme. He wasn't terrible, just not a good enough fit to warrant his $6.5M per year cap number for 2016-2017.
A former All Pro and Pro Bowler with the Chargers and Broncos, Vasquez is a durable, huge power-oriented blocker who would be an instant upgrade over the Titans' mediocre options. Even better: he has experience at Right Tackle from his days with the Chargers.
If you want to get the most out of DeMarco Murray, this is the exact kind of guy the Titans need to sign. He likely won't be cheap, but the offensive line needs more than another Band-Aid, no matter who we draft.
