Matt Miller has put out a new post-combine 2-round mock draft. He went with Laremy Tunsil for the Titans in the first round and Derrick Henry in the 2nd round. I wouldn't love this draft for the Titans, but I do think that there is a good chance it could play out this way. Mike Mularkey wants to have a team that can dominate the line of scrimmage and have a power running game. There is no doubt that these two picks would go a long way in helping him accomplish that.
It will be interesting to see if there is any fallout from Robert Nkemdiche mentioning that Tunsil was in the room in Atlanta the night that Nkemdiche was arrested. I really don't care about whether or not an athlete smokes weed, but I do care if Tunsil gets popped for a positive test that gets him in the NFL drug program- do whatever you want off the field as long as it doesn't affect your play on the field (or your ability to actually be on the field because of a suspension).
Here is part of what Miller had to say about the Tunsil pick:
The Tennessee Titans may love to trade out of this spot, but if they cannot, drafting a blue-chip left tackle prospect in Laremy Tunsil is a great way to keep the No. 2 overall pick from last year's draft—quarterback Marcus Mariota—upright and healthy.
Miller went on to discuss other options for the Titans if they stay in the first pick. To me, the only other option is Jalen Ramsey. He made a huge case for himself to be the first pick with his performance at the combine.
