Todd McShay is sticking to his guns at number one overall. He still believes that the Tennessee Titans will select Ohio State's star defensive end Joey Bosa with the number one pick.
He mentions that Ole Miss tackle Laremy Tunsil fills a bigger need, but notes that he believes Bosa is the best player in the class. He also notes Bosa's scheme versatility, which I'm not sold on. The Titans will be sticking with a 3-4 base front, making Bosa's projection tougher. Where do you play him? Outside? 5-Tech?
I understand loading up on pass rushers, but I'm just not sold Bosa has an immediate home in Dick LeBeau's front. I'm still backing Laremy Tunsil. Let's fix the offensive line once and for all. Tunsil is the best player in the class to me, with Bosa landing third in my rankings.
Some other notes:
- Both Carson Wentz and Jared Goff land in the top four. Wentz has gone from a relative unknown to a top five pick seemingly overnight. He could hold the keys to a Titans' trade.
- Sheldon Rankins -- a defensive tackle from Louisville -- was widely regarded as a fringe first rounder before the Senior Bowl. McShay mocked him 10th to the Giants this morning.
- Braxton Miller jumps into the first round after a strong Senior Bowl week, landing at 24 with the Bengals.
- McShay only has two receivers going round one, leaving the board full for the Titans at pick 33.
