Titans Jon Robinson Links!
So, due to the combine, there wasn't much "Titans" news over the weekend. There was, however, quite a few articles written on Robinson. Take this one for example: Did you know that for over 14 seasons, Jon Robinson has only been a part of drafting 6 Running Backs? Currently there is no clear starter running back on the team. The Titans will more than likely look to add a running back through the draft or free agency this offseason, so that number might bump up to 7 here shortly.

Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff, who worked with Robinson in New England, stressed it is important for Jon to get to know fellow General Managers. Developing relationships with other GMs will make it easier for other teams to call as well as answer their phones come draft day when trade proposals are being made.

When comparing what happens at the combine and workouts to film and college production; Jon Robinson believes it should only be used as part of the process. He says the two important parts of the combine, to him, are the medical and interview processes. The medical evaluation allows the team to know if a player will be healthy enough to come in and do what they are asked to do. The interview process allows teams to see how well the player's personality and goals will gel with that of the team.

What Robinson will do with the first pick is still up in the air, but there is something he for sure knows: He won't be letting anyone know what he plans to do with the pick. He says letting people know who the Titans are taking would only move the attention to Cleveland.

Draft/Combine News!
"QB Guru" George Whitfield was asked if he believed there was a QB in the upcoming draft that was worth trading up to number one for. He believes there is some talent in this draft, but he doesn't feel there is anyone worth trading up for.

Albert Breer was asked if there is a "can't miss player" at number one in this year's draft? Quick answer: ehhhh not so much. He believes the talent at the top of the draft this year isn't what it has been in recent years. He does, however, believe there are solid players who can be a cornerstone for teams for a long time.
