"It's something unpredictable, but in the end is right,
I hope you had the time of your life..."
Titans Michael Griffin News!
Well. It happened. The Tennessee Titans have released Michael Griffin. Griffin was drafted in the first round of the 2007 NFL draft, and played nine seasons for the Titans. Griffin was also a two time Pro Bowl player during his time here. His release wasn't that much of a surprise to him. He was an older player on a team who has recently had trouble winning, and he had a high cap number. His day was coming and he knew it. His departure creates another need for the team, but then again, what isn't a need for this team besides QB? There were some ups and downs during the recent years with Griffin (as far as playing goes), but he should be thanked for his time here.
Paul K feels Griffin gave the Titans more good than bad. Sure he played his best when he had better players around him, but that argument could be made for just about any player really. For all the crap fans gave him; he did show toughness on the field, did a lot of work in the community, and stuck with the team despite all the "shakiness" these past few years. I can't even remember the guy ever even complaining about the team really.
I would imagine Griffin won't be out of a job for very long. He has already had several coaches reach out to him. I wouldn't be shocked to see him with the St. Louis Los Angeles Rams next season. Jeff Fisher seems to have a habit of picking up past Titans players.
Titans News!
Phil Simms (ugh) gives his opinion on Marcus Mariota and what the Titans should do with him next season. Designing an offense that accentuates Mariota's ability as a player is definitely a step this team needs to take. PROVE US WRONG, ROBISKIE!
It's Grams' favorite time of the year! Mock Draft season! John Glennon gives us a list of some mocks showing what the Titans may do with the first round pick. Spoiler alert: Laremy Tunsil is the favored choice.
DGB (#REPENT) hopes to be the number one option next season. He says he has spoken with Bob Bratkowski (#StillBetterThanJefferson) and Brat wants to build him as a player and push him to be the best player he can be. Just don't put him in a "JAG" jersey, Bob.
Way Back Wednesday News!
Titans Clinch first AFC South title since 2002 (12/7/2008)
That's all for today. Happy reading!
