Jurrell Casey misses practice for Titans

New, comments

It’s early in the week, but this is not great news.

Jurrell Casey was the only member of the Titans not on the field for the Titans today. Mike Mularkey said after practice that they will monitor Casey throughout the week in hopes that he will be ready to play on Sunday. It’s not a great sign that he wasn’t able to go coming off the bye.

The news on Casey is obviously not good, but it is nice to see DeMarco Murray participate in a Wednesday practice for the first time since before the Jaguars game. The Titans are going to need a big game from Murray if they are going to put up points against the Denver defense.

Mularkey also said after practice that they are not ready to name a starting cornerback opposite Jason McCourty. There isn’t a great option over there, as we have seen throughout the year, but hopefully someone can separate himself from the pack this week and at least be somewhat of an upgrade from Perrish Cox.
