Derrick Henry strained his calf in pregame warm-ups yesterday. It blows my mind that this happens to these guys, but it seems like you see it a few times every year across the league. Anyway, Henry had an MRI on the calf today. Mike Mularkey said he could miss 2 weeks, but later in the press conference he also said there is a chance Henry could practice on Wednesday. The wide time frame is apparently because it will be a pain tolerance thing for Henry. He’s a stud. He’ll be back soon.
So it seems like at least for a couple of weeks the Titans backfield will consist of Thunder and Antonio Andrews. Here’s to hoping Henry is back sooner than later.
Mularkey also said that Quinton Spain could be back on the practice field this week. The Titans have missed him in the middle of the line for the last couple of weeks. It will be good to see him back out there.
