Titans Links!
Here are six things sticking out for the Titans as they head into their bye. Topping the list is Marcus Mariota. Dude is straight balling right now. He has 21 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions in these past eight games. Holy. Oh, and his passer rating is a measly 101.9. The offensive line has also been pretty fantastic. They've only allowed 18 sacks in 12 games this year (last year they allowed 38 in 12 games...gross). That Rishard Matthews guy has also been playing quite well. He currently has 669 yards on 48 catches, and also has 7 touchdowns. Believe it or not, the Titans are in the hunt for the playoffs. Playoffs?! That's right! There is some good on defense as well. Namely the pass rush. It wasn't quite on display this past Sunday, but it's definitely been a force. So far the Titans have 30 sacks on the season. Finally: The Red Zone. Mariota is money when it comes to the Red Zone. It's incredible really. The team is ranked number one in the NFL when it comes to Red Zone offense. Dang.
Quick Hit: The Titans added CB D'Joun Smith to the practice squad.
The Titans dig Henry in four minute situations...but they haven't had many opportunities to use him in such circumstances. Mularkey was asked why Henry was being used more against Chicago, and he answered saying it was because they like using Henry in four minute situations. PK is a little confused by this though because Murray has actually been seeing more time in four minute situations than Henry has. Which is it, Mike?! Which is it?!
That's all for today. Happy reading!
