NFL playoff picture 2016: What are the chances the Titans make it in?

The New York Times has a really cool NFL playoff picture tool where you can play out different scenarios to see what the chances are of the Titans making the playoffs. The only real chance the Titans have of getting in is to win the division. The Raiders helped keep hope alive with their win over the Texans last night.

Here’s the good news- The Titans have a 99% chance of making the playoffs in the scenario that I put in, and I actually believe it to be possible. It plays out like this:

Titans beat the Bears (without half their team)

Steelers beat the Colts (without Andrew Luck)

Chargers beat the Texans

Titans BYE

Packers beat the Texans

Colts beat the Jets

Week 14

Titans beat the Broncos (this is the one I feel the least confident about)

Colts beat the Texans in Indianapolis

Week 15

Chiefs beat the Titans (Arrowhead is a tough place to play)
