Taylor Lewan had to leave yesterday’s game in the 4th quarter after injuring his knee. Mike Mularkey said at this press conference today that Lewan has a sprained knee and is day to day. With the bye coming up after the Bears game, my guess is that Lewan is held out this week to have 2 weeks to heal.
Mularkey also said that the team will discuss moving Jack Conklin to left tackle in Lewan’s absence. I hope they don’t do that. Dennis Kelly played well after Lewan was ejected in the 1st quarter of the game against the Packers last week. There is no reason to have 2 guys playing out of position instead of one.
It is really amazing how well the Titans offensive line has played with all of the injuries they have sustained. Chance Warmack was the starting right guard at the beginning of the season. He is on IR. Quinton Spain has also missed time but the line hasn’t missed a beat. Credit goes to Russ Grimm for that.
