Titans Links!
Holey buckets. The Titans beat the Packers yesterday! I mean. Straight up dominated them really. This was a game that I wasn't expecting them to win. I'm glad they proved me wrong! Jason Wolf gives us five things we should know about yesterday's game. Mariota put on a clinic yesterday, and doing so helped him tie a record with Warren Moon. He tied Moon's 1987 franchise record of six consecutive games with multiple passing touchdowns. Mariota finished the day 19 of 26 for 295 yards and four touchdowns. In the first half alone he went 12 of 18 for 216 yards and three scores. Dang. Mariota wasn't the only one to tie a record: Murray tied Earl Campbell's franchise record of five consecutive games with a rushing touchdown. These guys are doing work! Early in the game Taylor Lewan was ejected from the game. That sucked for sure. Dennis Kelly stepped in to replace him, and he played pretty well in Lewan's absence. Two of the Titans' fives sacks were recorded by Orakpo. He now has nine this season. The win moved the team back to .500 and moved them back up to second place in the division. The Titans take on the stupid Colts next. God I hope they win next Sunday.

Quick Hit: Mariota stays hot in the win over the Packers.

Rexrode gives us four thumbs up and two thumbs down from yesterday's game. Let's get the bad out of the way first so we can end on a good note. Thumbs down: Lewan's temper, and the pass defense. Lewan lost it when Guion jumped offsides and hit Mariota. The ref got between Lewan and Guion, but Lewan pushed his hand away, and you can't be doing that. The Titans defense played most of the game in a dime defense since they knew Green Bay's running game was hampered. That didn't help too much considering Rodgers still threw for 371 yards and two touchdowns on them. Ok now that the bad is out of the way, time for the good! The Titans got off to a roaring start and at one point were leading the Packers 21-0. So nice. Mariota was stellar. Delanie Walker (who I love) was pretty awesome. He had nine catches for 124 yards, and most of those yards came after contact. His final thumbs up is for DeMarco Murray and his performance.

Quick Hit: Titans report card.

That's all for today. Happy reading!
