As one door closes, another one opens. The retirement of Andre Johnson has apparently given life to the career of Tre McBride. It looks like he could get another shot in this offense very soon.
Story filed: #Titans place WR Andre Johnson on reserve/retired list, promote WR Tre McBride from practice squad.

McBride was a seventh round selection in the 2015 NFL Draft out of William and Mary. He got some run late last season, catching his first touchdown against the Houston Texans.
He played well in the preseason and actually made the team out of camp. However, a need a kick returner forced the Titans to sign Marc Mariani and bump McBride back to the practice squad.
McBride figures to be depth immediately, but watch him in relation to Harry Douglas. The two are similar players and will likely be fighting to play the same role. Maybe the younger McBride can earn more time in the offense as the season wears on.
