The Titans don’t normally practice on Monday, but they did today after playing last Thursday night. After practice Mike Mularkey talked about Andre Johnson’s decision to retire:
Mularkey: Andre Johnson reached out last night, wanted to talk this morning. Said he'd been contemplating retirement for weeks. #Titans

I expressed my feelings on the subject here.
The next question that was asked, naturally, was who gets the roster spot that is now open with Johnson retiring. Mularkey mentioned Tre McBride as an option for that roster spot. McBride is currently on the Titans’ practice squad.
Mularkey also said that the Titans will have guys in to workout tomorrow, as they always do on Tuesdays, so they could find someone there. They don’t have to make the move until after that. My guess is that it is McBride.
A couple of injury notes:
- DeMarco Murray is dealing with a toe injury. Mularkey said the MRI was “good for the most part.” We will learn more when the Titans take the practice field again on Wednesday.
- Perris Cox is still in the concussion protocol.
