Finding a running back that can actually help you in fantasy football seems to be getting more and more difficult. That means you have to pay attention to changes that happen with NFL teams from week to week. This week the situation we are focusing on is the Baltimore Ravens backfield.
Justin Forsett was a healthy scratch on Sunday. He and Terrance West had pretty much split the carries down the middle the first three weeks. It appears that the Ravens are ready to move on from Forsett.
West made the most of his opportunity as “the guy.” He carried the ball 21 times for 113 yards and a touchdown. West is a guy that has plenty of talent but has had issues with some off the field things. It appears that he has found a home in Baltimore.
The problem is Kenneth Dixon is waiting in the wings. Dixon was a 4th round pick in the 2016 draft who has been sidelined with a knee injury. All indications are that the Ravens really like what he brings to the table. He will be in the mix for carries when he is healthy, which could be this week.
West is the guy for now, but you should add Dixon this week if he is available in your league. It will pay off in the long run.
