A win against a beat up Colts team on Sunday would have pulled the Titans into a first place tie in the division. In case you don’t know, they lost. That’s the bad news. The good news is the Texans lost to the Broncos last night so the Titans didn’t lose a game in the division standings.
Here is how the AFC South looks after 7 weeks:
- Houston Texans 4-3
- Indianapolis Colts 3-4
- Tennessee Titans 3-4
- Jacksonville Jaguars 2-4
There is no getting around this; the AFC South is not a very good division. That means the Titans are still in the hunt, but they absolutely have to beat the Jaguars at home on Thursday.
The Colts have a home game against the Kansas City Chiefs in week 8 and the Texans get the Detroit Lions at home. The Colts are currently a 2.5 underdog while the Texans are a 2.5 favorite. I like both of the road teams.
