The referees missed a lot of holds in the Titans-Colts game

Maybe this is why the Titans had trouble getting pressure on Andrew Luck.

Andrew Luck was sacked 23 times in the first 6 games. The Titans had 12 sacks in the last 2 weeks. This looked like a spot where the Titans would be able to be in Luck’s face all day. That didn’t turn out to be the case.

Now before we jump into the referee bashing, gramsey’s favorite, we do have to give the Colts some credit. They did a fantastic job of calling quick hit plays and Luck got the ball out of his hands quickly all day. The pass rush had been so good the last couple of weeks that we forgot how bad this team is in coverage. That showed up in a big way yesterday.

But with all of that being said, the pictures below prove that the Colts were getting away with holds all day long- especially on Brian Orakpo and Derrick Morgan.

It is pretty easy to keep guys off your quarterback when you are blatantly holding guys coming off the edge.

Also, don’t read this as me saying this is why the Titans lost yesterday because it isn’t.
