Report: Josh McDaniels is interested in the Titans job

Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY Sports

John Clayton of ESPN was on 102.5 The Game in Nashville earlier today and said that Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels is interested in the Titans job.  Do you know why he is interested in the job?  Two words- Marcus. Mariota.

McDaniels is a very intriguing name in the coaching search.  Now, we have no idea if the Titans have any interest in McDaniels or not, but this proves, at least a little bit, that the narrative that no one wants this job is false.  Offensive coordinators are going to be dying to work with Mariota.

It would be nice to see that the Titans have reached out to some guys to interview.  Maybe they are just trying to hire a GM first.  That is fine, but they should still be putting some feelers out to guys around the league.  That way they will have an idea of who out there is interested.

McDaniels was the head coach of the Denver Broncos from 2009-2010.  He had one good year and one really bad year.  Hopefully he has learned some things from that stint.
