Report: Titans request permission to interview Terry Robiskie for offensive coordinator

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

Alex Marvez of FOX Sports is reporting that the Titans have requested permission to interview Terry Robiskie for the open offensive coordinator position:

It was reported earlier that one of the conditions of Mike Mularkey getting the head coaching job would be that he would have to hire a new offensive coordinator.  I would assume that Mularkey gave them a list of guys he would target in his interview.  Apparently Robiskie was at the top of that list.

Robiskie has been an NFL assistant with various teams dating back to 1982.  He and Mularkey were on the same staff in Atlanta from 2008-2011.  Robiskie has been an interim head coach twice in his career- in 2000 with the Redskins and 2004 with the Browns.  He was the offensive coordinator with the Los Angeles Rams from 1989-1993 and with the Browns in 2004.  Robiskie is 61 years old.
