Hue Jackson to become the coach of the Cleveland Browns

Mitch Stringer-USA TODAY Sports

Adam Schefter reported earlier today that Hue Jackson will become the next head coach of the Cleveland Browns.  Jackson has been my candidate for the job since Ken Whisenhunt was hired.  My personal Twitter handle, @jmorrisMCM, has been named #HireHue for months.  My dream has died.

But hey, take heart, the Titans reportedly have interviews scheduled with Mike Mularkey and Doug Marrone tomorrow.  Those guys really will really energize the fanbase! I know, I know, those aren't the only guys they will interview.  They will probably throw Sylvester Croom in there to satisfy the Rooney Rule before hiring Mularkey....I kid, kind of.

I also know what everyone else is going to say, you need to hire a GM first and they want to interview some guys that are still coaching in the playoffs.  I hope those of you who feel that way are correct.  I just haven't had anything to give me faith that this organization will do the right thing in a really long time....maybe since they locked Steve McNair out of the facility.  Maybe, MAYBE that is what started all of this!
