Tennessee Titans trade for RB Terrance West

Dennis Wierzbicki-USA TODAY Sports

The Tennessee Titans have sent a conditional 2016 draft pick to the Cleveland Browns for RB Terrance West according to Jim Wyatt.

The Browns drafted West in the third round last year. He ran for 673 yards on 171 carries and scored 4 touchdowns.

The Titans needed the help at running back after it was announced earlier today that David Cobb would begin the season on the short term IR. Wyatt said in his tweet that the Titans like West coming out of Towson. He obviously fell out of favor with Browns, so it will be interesting to see what a change of scenery can do for him. There is a chance he could come in here and push to be the starting running back in a couple of weeks.

The Titans picked up 2 picks in the trade that sent Andy Levitre to the Falcons on Friday.
