New Tennessee Titan: David Bass

New, comments

The Titans may have potentially added a player who could make a significant impact today.

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

The Tennessee Titans were second on the waiver wire today, and they made two significant pick ups. With the team weak at inside linebacker, cornerback and edge rusher the Titans made an effort to bolster two of those positions today.

The second player they added was David Bass.

David Bass: EDGE

College Team: Missouri Western State

Former teams: Oakland Raiders, Chicago Bears

Experience: 4th year

Info:

-Bass definitely fits the bill on paper. He is a 6'4" 256 lb. pass rusher that has three sacks last year despite only playing 144 snaps

-As a 4-3 DE he was very efficient rushing from the left side. He was ranked 27th out of 125 eligible pass rushers according to PFF.

His spot on the team:

Of the two players signed this weekend, Bass is definitely the more interesting player. He could come in and play 400 snaps this year because this team needs depth at the pass rusher position and he is a quality player with a lot of upside. His best position is seemingly backing up Brian Orakpo and that could ultimately lead to the Tennessee Titans cutting Jonathan Massaquoi.
