Titans vs. Colts Thursday Injury Report: Vontae Davis Cleared To Play

What's new on the injury report?

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Today's injury reports have been released by both teams. There is a bit of new information, but the most noteworthy is from the Colts' side--Vontae Davis has been cleared and will be ready to go on Sunday. How he suffered a concussion on Monday night, was listed with a "shoulder" on Wednesday, and 100% cleared by Thursday considering today's concussion protocol is beyond me. Nevertheless, the full injury report is below:

TE Dwayne Allen- ankle, DNP

CB Darius Butler- hip, DNP

LB Trent Cole- knee, Limited

CB Vontae Davis- shoulder, Full Participation

G Lance Louis- shoulder, Limited

OLB Robert Mathis- achilles, Limited

CB Greg Toler- neck, Limited

RB Antonio Andrews – hamstring, Full Participation

DT Sammie Lee Hill – knee, DNP

FS Marqueston Huff – hamstring, DNP

CB Jason McCourty – groin, limited

CB Cody Riggs – knee, DNP

TE Delanie Walker – hand, Full Participation

Guard Chance Warmack – knee, DNP

Outside of the Vontae Davis news, the Colts are still hurting at cornerback. Toler still has not been cleared for contact and Darius Butler did not practice again. At this point, it would be surprising if either of those two played. Starting Guard Lance Louis practiced today, and his situation will continue to be monitored. He has played poorly so far, and if he plays at less than 100% on Sunday against Jurrell Casey, it could be a huge mismatch. On the Titans' side, the two big developments are Antonio Andrews and Delanie Walker's situations. Both fully practiced  today, which could be positive signs as far as their availability for Sunday. Walker said that his hand felt much better, and he was already close to playing last Sunday, so it would not be a surprise to see him on the field Sunday. Jason McCourty remained a limited participant. This is pure speculation on my part, but it would be a surprise to see him play on Sunday. It seems as if this week of practice is a way for him to get back into the swing of things before his full return on the other side of the bye week. We will know more about McCourty's situation and everyone else's after tomorrow's practice, so stay tuned.
