Jason McCourty returned to the practice field today for the Tennessee Titans. In a word that news is HUGE. We can't go crazy just yet. It will be interesting to see how the Titans classify his participation in practice. Trevor will update that for you in his post on the injury report.
McCourty has been sidelined pretty much since the beginning of training camp. He had surgery on his groin in the second week of the preseason and the prognosis was that he would miss about a month. Most people predicted that he would be out until after the Titans bye next week.
For the most part, the Titans secondary has held up pretty well with McCourty out of the line-up, but there is no doubt they are a much better unit with him out there. His presence would allow Coty Sensabaugh to move back inside. That is best for everyone.
It will be interesting to see how McCourty progresses throughout the week.
