The story of Tennessee Titans training camp continues to be the non-interception streak for Marcus Mariota. He wasn't picked off again today for the 7th straight day. The Titans were lucky to have their last 2 first round picks go 7 passes in camp without an interception. Again, this doesn't really mean anything until he does it in a real game, but it is a good start. He finished today's practice 9 for 17.
Justin Hunter had the play of the day according to the reporters on hand with a one-handed catch. Hunter impressed in the preseason last year but didn't translate to the regular season- even before a ruptured spleen landed him on IR. I will not be hype about Hunter until he shows that he can do it in real games on a weekly basis.
As expected, Jeremiah Poutasi got a lot of work with the first team because Byron Bell was unable to practice. He struggled with Derrick Morgan on multiple occasions according to John Glennon.
The Titans will practice at Nissan Stadium tomorrow afternoon. That practice is closed to the public.
