Arian Foster Injury Update: Texans RB Could Need Surgery

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Arian Foster, or Mr. Taco as he known around my condo (bonus points to whoever gets the "around my condo" reference), injured his groin during a Houston Texans training camp practice on Monday.  The extent of the injury is not known for sure, but Tania Ganguli of ESPN.com is reporting that the former Volunteer running back could need surgery.  If Foster does have surgery, he would miss the start of the regular season according to Ganguli's story.

Foster missed three games last season and still had 1,246 yards rushing on the season.  In the two games against the Titans last season Foster had 230 yards rushing with 2 touchdowns and 48 yards receiving for 2 more touchdowns.  He has killed the Titans for most of his career.

This is a huge blow to a Texans team that is currently holding a quarterback battle between Brian Hoyer and Ryan Mallett.  They also have zero depth at running back behind Foster.
