Marcus Mariota has gone through his first four NFL training camp practices without throwing an interception. Most people hear that and think it is a good thing. Pete Prisco sees that and "hears alarms going off:"
Some will marvel when a QB isn't throwing picks in camp — Mariota — I hear alarms going off.— Pete Prisco (@PriscoCBS) August 4, 2015
He later elaborated on why those alarms are going off:
@jagrag1 Not taking chances. Not taking anticipation throws. A lot goes into it.— Pete Prisco (@PriscoCBS) August 4, 2015
That's a bold claim for someone to make that hasn't been watching the practices.
My response to that:
It doesn't really mean anything that Mariota hasn't thrown a pick yet in camp, but it is absolutely not a bad thing- especially considering that the defensive players have been saying that they are throwing a lot of different looks at Mariota.
Don't worry, Pete. Mariota will throw some picks before camp is over and you won't have to be alarmed anymore.
