NFL roster cuts 2015 dates and times: Titans news coming soon

The Titans have until 3 PM central time on September 1st to get the roster down to 75 players.  They have not made any cuts yet, but other teams around the league have already started.  These names usually start to trickle out well before the deadline as the team lets players know they have been released.  The next important date is Saturday, September 5th.  Teams have until 3 PM central on that day to be at 53 players.  They will then be able to sign players to their practice squad at noon on September 6th.

We will be keeping track of all of the players that the Titans release, and players that might be of interest to the Titans that get released by other teams around the league (Lomas looked at some of those players here).  They could still do some re-shuffling on the offensive line and should be looking for some depth in the defensive backfield.

Here is a snapshot of the important dates:

Tuesday, Sept. 1, 3 p.m.: NFL rosters must be down to 75 players

Thursday, Sept. 3, 7 p.m.: Preseason finale against the Vikings

Saturday, Sept. 5, 3 p.m.: NFL rosters must be down to 53 players

Sunday, Sept. 6, 12 p.m.: Practice squads can be announced

Sunday, Sept. 13, 3:25 p.m.: Titans open the season in Tampa
