The Tennessee Titans had their final open training camp practice this week, and with that came one of the weirder reports in recent memory. Seemingly with no real reason, the Titans started mixing up their offensive line in some pretty interesting ways.
Here are some tweets that went out throughout practice.
Byron Bell inside and Jamon Meredith not Jeremiah Poutasi at right tackle:

Fernando Velasco taking over at center?

Now Velasco in with the normal first team offense.

This is a pretty big deal in my opinion. One way or another Whisenhunt is saying that he isn't comfortable with the offensive line the way it is now. Left guard, center and right tackle all seem to be up for grabs to some extent. I would be really curious to know if Jeremiah Poutasi will get some shots inside or if they are going to keep him at right tackle.
I think they might have been testing Jamon Meredith at right tackle to see if he could play backup there behind Poutasi allowing them to fix the real problem, which I think is left guard.
Again, I am going to say this until he is signed, but Evan Mathis is just sitting out there waiting and the Titans are sitting on a load of cap room. It sure would be nice if they at least had a conversation about bringing in the left guard.
