Breaking down the Tennessee Titans first depth chart

Jim Brown-USA TODAY Sports

The Titans have released their first depth chart of the 2015 season.  Obviously there is a long way to go before any of this really matters, but this does give us some insight into how the coaching staff feels about certain players on the team.  They will probably update the depth chart at least two more times before week 1.

Here are a few things that I found interesting:

-Kendall Wright and Harry Douglas are listed as the starting wide receivers.  Hakeem Nicks and Justin Hunter are their backups.  After that you have Dorial Green-Beckham and Jacoby Ford.  It hasn't been a great start to camp for DGB.  That is to be expected after missing a year of football.  I expect him to move up before the start of the season.

-Bishop Sankey is listed as the starting running back followed by Dexter McCluster and Antonio Andrews.  This is the most interesting group to watch.

-Byron Bell is listed as the starting right tackle.

-DaQuan Jones is listed as the starter at defensive end.  This was talked about in the OTAs. I need to see something from him before I get too excited about that one.

-Perrish Cox, as expected, is listed as the starter at corner opposite Jason McCourty- not a surprise

-Dexter McCluster is listed as the kick returner and the punt returner.  I have no doubt he will be the punt returner, but I would like to see an open competition for the kick returner spot.
