A quick spin around the NFL.

With the NFL calendar closing in on the start of training camps, there is actually real news in the league again.

Ex-Bengals Tight End Jermaine Gresham signed with the Arizona Cardinals today, giving them an extra weapon for Carson Palmerm. Should Palmer stay healthy (and play to the form he did last year) the Cardinals should be a dangerous team down the stretch.

Standout Kansas City Chiefs CB Sean Smith was suspended for the first three games of the year stemming from a guilty plea in a DUI case. How much that hurts the Chiefs remains to be seen.

Former Tampa Bay QB starter Josh Freeman was released by the Dolphins today. Not exactly a shocker.

The New Orleans Saints released Junior Galette, their outside rush linebacker who has arguably been the best player on that defense when it comes to putting pressure on the passer. He has been through some legal troubles, and the Saints apparently had had enough. Enough, in fact, to eat a large sum of salary cap and take almost $12 million in dead money in 2016...
