It is officially 81 days until the season starts. My goal going forward is going to be to have a post each day that highlights a guy who wore the uniform number of how many days are left until kickoff for the Titans. Today we continue with #81, Ernest Givins.
Those of you who have been reading here for a while know that I believe in a separation between the Oilers and Titans. If things are anywhere close to even on a list like this the nod goes to the Titans era player. There was no one even close for the Titans here. Chris Sanders was the best Titan to wear #81, and while I like Sanders a lot, I couldn't give him the nod over Givens here.
Givens played for the Oilers from 1976-1984. He was a two-time Pro Bowler and caught 542 passes for 7,935 yards and 46 touchdowns during his Oilers career.
