It is officially 83 days until the season starts. My goal going forward is going to be to have a post each day that highlights a guy who wore the uniform number of how many days are left until kickoff for the Titans. Today we continue with #83, Drew Bennett.
The Titans found a steal when they signed Bennett as an undrafted free agent in 2001. Bennett was a QB at UCLA, but he developed into a really good receiver with the Titans. In his 6 seasons with the Titans he caught 273 passes for 4,033 yards and 25 touchdowns. He had a huge game against the Chiefs in a Monday Football game with Billy Volek under center. Bennett finished that game with 12 catches for 233 yards and 3 touchdowns. Who knows how good Bennett could have been had Volek not taken that fishing trip.
