Titans OTAs day 2: Marcus Mariota getting more comfortable

Jim Brown-USA TODAY Sports

Jim Wyatt tweeted this after today's Titans workout:

That's good. One of these days the Titans are going to have a quarterback that the media isn't keeping stats on in practice.  I long for that day, and I really, really hope that quarterback is Marcus Mariota.  He seems to be off to a good start:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Titans?src=hash">#Titans</a> just wrapped up OTA. Thought Marcus Mariota looked even sharper today. Made some impressive throws into tight windows</p>&mdash; Jim Wyatt (@jwyattsports) <a href="https://twitter.com/jwyattsports/status/603615251108601857">May 27, 2015</a></blockquote>

In other news, Baylor coach Art Briles was on hand to watch practice today.  He coached Kendall Wright in college.  He knows a thing or two about running a spread offense.  Hopefully the Titans coaching staff took some time to pick his brain about the best way to use Mariota.

Coach Ken Whisenhunt said after practice that DaQuan Jones looks to be a starter at defensive end.  That's interesting considering he spent the bulk of the 2014 season on the sideline.
