The Titans have now been on the clock for about 10 hours because they hold the first pick of the second round tonight. There are still a lot of good players available that could really help the Titans. Ruston Webster had said that they were going to build around their first round pick. That leads me to believe that the will be looking at either an offensive tackle or a wide receiver with the 33rd pick.
Dan Kadar thinks the same way. He has posted his 2nd round mock this morning, and he has the Titans taking Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State. Kadar's comments on the pick:
The Titans have bigger needs, but drafting Strong would pair Marcus Mariota with a potential No. 1 wide receiver.
Here is Lambert's scouting report on Jaelen Strong.
I prefer Dorial Green-Beckham here. DGB comes with plenty of red flags, but he also has the potential to be one of the best receivers in the league. That is a risk worth taking in the second round.
However, I do understand why the Titans would go with Strong here. He is the "safer" pick from the standpoint that he doesn't have the off the field baggage that Green-Beckham does.
Your thoughts on what the Titans should do with the first pick of the 2nd round?
