Having the second pick is a lot of fun- especially when your team has a need at just about every position on the field. That doesn't make the actual season much fun, but draft season has been a blast. The back and forth between Marcus Mariota and Leonard Williams, and the debate around the two, has been fascinating.
The good folks over at CBS, Pete Prisco and Dane Brugler, have both put out new mock drafts this week. They both have the Titans taking Williams. Prisco has been pretty outspoken about how foolish it would be for the Titans to pass on Williams for Mariota. Here is what he had to say about Williams to the Titans:
his kid has a chance to be a dominant player. They can't pass that up to force the quarterback pick.
Prisco hates Mariota. I really hope Marcus proves him wrong. Pete has Mariota going to the New York Jets with the 6th pick.
Brugler had this to say about Williams:
It won't take long to find the wildcard of the first round as the Titans could go in a number of directions here, including trading back with a team needing a quarterback. Mariota is also in the conversation for Tennessee, but Williams is the current favorite to be the pick at No. 2.
Brugler also has Mariota going to the Jets at 6.
