The Titans have a massive task ahead to get back into winning form. It has been far too long since the Titans were familiar with that stature. They were able to plug some of the holes, especially on defense, during free agency, and have the opportunity to remedy some more in the upcoming draft.
But realistically, how much change can we expect from the Titans in one season? On average, six new teams make the playoffs every season, but few of those come from 2-14. While a .500 season in and of itself would be a big step forward, that would not satisfy a win-starved fan base or an ownership group in flux, unless there was significant positive progress from a young QB (whether that is Mettenberger, Mariota, etc).
With the teams recent struggles in mind, how long, if ever, can we expect Whisenhunt to turn things around in Nashville?
