Do the Titans do the expected? Or do they surprise?

Adam Hunger-USA TODAY Sports

With the NFL draft approaching, (and the mock draft flips fast and furious) the speculation at the top of the board is only intensifying. However, NFL team scouts have long held their evaluations of the top talent available, and this is little affected by a few interviews and some combine fluff.

For Tennessee it will really come down to how they evaluate their current roster. Visits indicate that the team knows it needs help along the offensive line and at wide receiver, but perhaps that they haven't found an answer they are comfortable committing to at present.

How high are they on Zach Mettenberger? Are they satisfied with their defensive front seven? Do they see Justin Hunter developing into a true X? The answers to these questions will guide their draft strategy. It is often difficult to pin down a franchise's actual intentions heading into the draft, especially in the first round.

Will the Titans do the expected? Drafting a guy like Mariota or Williams? Or do they pull off a trade for the draft pick haul?
