While it isn't the flashy news that some fans wanted to hear today, the Tennessee Titans did re-sign punter Brett Kern to a five year deal according to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean.

As @jwyattsports sports said, #Titans agreed to 5-year deal with P Brett Kern. I'm told it's for $15 M.

Kern has been a valuable weapon over the years. He owns the top four net punting seasons in franchise history #Titans

While other punters got more publicity (which really just means any publicity) PFF did rank Brett Kern as their best free agent punter this year, and ninth overall in the league last year.
Kern had 30 punts downed inside the 20-yard line last year, and averaged 46.8 yards per punt which ties him for fourth best in the league. His extension provides stability on special teams which is a big question mark this year with Kern, Ryan Succop, and Beau Brinkley all scheduled to be free agents.
His $3 million annual salary puts him exactly where he needs to be, 8th among punters.
