NFL trade rumors: Chicago Bears are reportedly shopping Brandon Marshall

There are multiple reports on Twitter today that the Chicago Bears are shopping Brandon Marshall.  The consensus seems to be that they are seeking a mid-round pick.  If the price is a 3rd or 4th round pick, the Titans should get in the mix.

Kendall Wright is a nice player but he is not a true #1 receiver.  The Titans need a guy that is, and Marshall is.  You are really handicapping your young quarterback, whether it be Zach Mettenberger or a rookie that they draft, by not giving him weapons.

Marshall has 3 years left on his current contract:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>For those curious: Brandon Marshall has base salaries of $7.5M, $7.9M and $8.3M remaining on his deal.</p>&mdash; Paul Kuharsky (@PaulKuharskyNFL) <a href="https://twitter.com/PaulKuharskyNFL/status/573525086835093505">March 5, 2015</a></blockquote>

Those are pretty big numbers, but they aren't numbers that the Titans cannot afford.  They have a ton of cap space that is just wasting away.  This move would help the whole receiver group.  Wright could now be a solid #2.  Justin Hunter wouldn't be counted on for quite as much, and maybe that would help him learn how to run routes and catch the ball.

Then the Titans could trade out of the 2nd pick and get back the pick they give up to get Marshall plus some.
