Very tempting to take Devante Parker here. Teddy would probably love this pick. However, with it being a heavy draft for receivers and the addition of Wallace, and having Johnson and Patterson the Vikings won’t pull the trigger. Instead look for the defensive guru Zimmer to look again at the D in the first round. Having the building blocks of a young stout D, with Rhodes, Barr and Floyd, the Vikings take Landon Collins. He will be an immediate upgrade over Robert Blanton. Also with Collins being the most highly touted safety, and it’s not even close; they will pull the trigger now, get a playmaker and address other positions later on in the draft where there is more depth. At the point of writing this it was between Collins and Waynes. However, seeing that Newman is scheduled to make a visit to his former coach/vikings, if he signs, which I am guessing he just might, he would be the starter opposite Rhodes, leading to the vikings grabbing Collins in the first instead of Waynes.
