Jim Corbett of USA Today had a chance to catch up with Ken Whisenhunt today at the coach's meeting. He asked about the expectation of Marcus Mariota if he is the #2 overall pick for the Tennessee Titans. Here is what Whiz had to say:
Ken Whisenhunt on Marcus Mariota: "If he comes to us at No. 2, he's definitely going to be the day 1 starter..I'm very impressed by Marcus."

Now Whiz later clarified his statement to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports:
Just asked Ken Whisenhunt about that quote. He said he was trying to say if they took a QB at 2, it would be with the expectation he'd start

I have no earthly idea what the Titans are thinking right now, but they are doing a pretty good job of selling people that they are really interested in Mariota. He still doesn't seem like a fit for the type of quarterback that Whisenhunt wants, but maybe Ruston Webster sees his overall potential and is ready to take him.
