NFL Draft: Which players are the Tennessee Titans contacting?

Who are the Titans interested in?

Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

With NFL free agency dying down, teams are turning all of their attention towards the NFL Draft which will take place in just over a month. Walterfootball.com has put together a great list of all of the players that each team has visited in some way or another.

This is his list on who the Titans have been in contact with:

  • Stephone Anthony, ILB, Clemson (WOR)
  • Tavaris Barnes, DE, Clemson (WOR)
  • Vic Beasley, DE/OLB/3-4OLB, Clemson (WOR)
  • John Crockett, RB, North Dakota State (EW)
  • Mario Edwards Jr., DE/DT/3-4DE, Florida State (COM)
  • Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon (WOR)
  • DeVante Parker, WR, Louisville (PRI)
  • Shane Ray, OLB/DE/3-4OLB, Missouri (PRI)
  • Tony Steward, OLB, Clemson (WOR)
  • Tyrus Thompson, OT, Oklahoma (PRO)
  • Daryl Williams, OT, Oklahoma (PRO)
  • Keon Williams, RB, Chattanooga (PRO)
  • Leonard Williams^, DE/DT/3-4DE, USC (COM, PRO)
  • Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State (PRI)
  • SR - Senior Bowl meeting.
    EW - East-West Shrine meeting.
    COM - Combine meeting.
    INT - Interested.
    VINT - Very Interested.
PRO - Pro Day or campus meeting/workout.
    LOC - Local visit.
    PRI - Private visit.
    WOR - Private Workout.
% - indicates more than one meeting at an event.
^ - has met with team at more than one event.
    # - indicates meeting set up outside of the 2015 Senior Bowl or the 2015 East-West Shrine Game

Noteables:

-Leonard Williams is the only person the Titans have publicly met with twice, although both Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota are scheduled to meet with the Titans at some point.

-While edge rusher is predominately featured, two names that stood out to me most is the tackle tandem from Oklahoma: Daryl Williams and Tyrus Thompson, both of which could be mid round targets for the Titans.

-Mario Edwards is a player that the Titans could strongly look at in the second round, especially if they choose to take one of the quarterbacks in round one over Leonard Williams.
