The Tennessee Titans have completed the trifecta of specialist signings today with the announcement from Jim Wyatt that they have re-signed kicker Ryan Succop. The Titans signed Succop last season right before the first week of the season after having a kicker battle in training camp that was underwhelming to say the least. Succop was 19-22 on his field goal attempts last season.
Succop was cut by the Kansas City Chiefs before the 2014 season. They immediately regretted that move when Succop went 4-4 on his field goal attempts in week 1 at Arrowhead for the Titans while their new kicker, Cairos Santos, was 1-2.
It has been a whirlwind of activity for the Titans this morning. They have gotten better, and that is what we all wanted from this free agency period. Now we just have to hope that Ken Whisenhunt figures out how to coach.
