NFL Mock Draft: Titans back to Jameis Winston

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Our buddy Dan Kadar of SB Nation's Mocking the Draft has put out a new mock draft this morning.  It is only one round, but he did provide multiple options for each team's pick.  This week he chose Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State as the Titans selection with the 2nd pick.  Here is what he had to say about the pick:

A good argument can be made that the Titans have the worst roster in the NFL. Of course, there are some good pieces. Taylor Lewan and Chance Warmack show promise on the offensive line. Defensive lineman Jurrell Casey is one of the league's more underrated players. Ultimately, the Titans need impact players. Whether it's a quarterback or a player like Leonard Williams of Southern California, they need a player who can scare the opposing team. In this mock, it's Winston.

You can read more about Jameis Winston as an NFL prospect from Lambert here.

Insert Winston on the field vs. off the field argument here. I really should just copy and paste a pros and cons list for Winston to insert in these posts.

The other options that Kadar gave for the Titans pick at #2 were Leonard Williams and Marcus Mariota.

Lambert broke down Leonard Williams here.

I must admit, I am not jealous of the choice Ruston Webster is going to have here. As Dan said, the Titans just need impact players. They absolutely cannot afford to miss on this pick. The future of Webster himself, as well as the entire coaching staff, rides on this pick. No pressure.
