Michael Roos announced his retirement yesterday. He will truly be missed. He was one of those guys that never complained, always worked his tail off, and was really really good. Roos is a legend. Seriously, the guy has a field named after him at his alma mater, Eastern Washington University. I only wish that the gargantuan Estonian could have won a ring with us.
I think Kyle said it yesterday, but he will be up there with the Munchak's and the Matthews' of Titan lore for me. He is a really good guy and was a really good player for us for a long time. Read as other players and coaches reflect on his career in two tone blue.
The Titans need more guys like Michael Roos. I can't help but think, "thank goodness we have Taylor Lewan." That draft pick was a God-send in retrospect.
Greg Cosell has an opinion. And it is incorrect. (waiting for the backlash on this one).
Who is the best pass rusher in this class? Easy. Vic Beasley is the best pass rusher. Too bad he cannot stop the run.
Quote of the Day (I've used this before, but it is fitting):
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
