Daniel Jeremiah put out his second mock draft of the year, and he has the Titans taking Dante Fowler, Jr., EDGE, Florida. Here is what he had to say about the pick:
Fowler is an explosive edge rusher with a huge motor. He would team with Jurrell Casey to give the Titans a dynamic third-down pass rush.
I know people here love Leonard Williams, but I like this pick better. Fowler has the ability to come in and be disruptive off the edge. The Titans need that more than anything else on defense.
Lambert did a great job of breaking down Fowler here. There are weaknesses to Fowler's game, obviously, but Lambert says they are not fatal flaws:
I think he's a very good athlete, but he's still very rough around the edges. His problems are all things that can be coached out of him, however.
You need a difference maker at 2. Sure there is bust potential with Fowler, as there is with any pick, but the ceiling is high. I like that.
